Passion Fruit Iced Tea

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups water divided (For brewing and cooling)
  • 3 black tea bags For the base tea
  • ¼ cup vegan granulated sugar or to taste
  • ¾ cup passion fruit pulp from about 4-5 fruits, fresh
  • Ice For serving
  • Mint sprig for garnish (Optional)

Method
 

  1. Bring 1 ½ cups of water to a boil in a saucepan, then remove from heat.
  2. Add the tea bags to the hot water and allow them to steep for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags, then add the vegan sugar to the tea and whisk until dissolved completely.
  4. Add the remaining 1 ½ cups of room-temperature water to the tea, then stir in the passion fruit pulp.
  5. Fill serving glasses with ice, then pour the tea mixture over the ice. Garnish with a mint sprig, if desired.
